1. What makes a CHECK FIRST Card different from an ATM card? Your present ATM card can only be used at ATM locations and a limited number of stores. Your CHECKFIRST Card can be used at ATM locations plus wherever Star or Plus is accepted.
2. How does it work? Use your CHECKFIRST Card as you would your present ATM card when you're using an ATM. Use it at stores and other places exactly the same way you use a credit card. The difference? The funds for your purchase come from your checking account, not a line of credit. That means no finance charges!!
3. So it looks like a credit card, but it works like a check? Right! When you use a credit card, you're borrowing money. With your new CHECK FIRST Card, you're simply using your checking account, same as when you write a check - no debts, no loans, no finance charges; you are paying by check without writing one.
4. Can I still use my checks? Certainly. That's completely up to you. Once you see how easy CHECKFIRST is to use, you may write checks less and less. With your CHECKFIRST Card, you'll never run out of checks at the register.

Are there spending limits?
Purchases
are limited to the available balance in your
account or your approved limit - whichever is
less - on a daily basis. Withdrawal limits at
ATM machines remain the same as they are today.

What if I lose my card?
To report a lost or
stolen CheckFirst card, call any First Bank
branch. To report a call during during non-bank
hours, please call the Lost and Stolen department
at 800-528-2273.
